"Healing Power in You"   Mark Chapter 16:15-20

¹⁵  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.¹⁶ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.¹⁷ And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;¹⁸ They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.¹⁹ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.²⁰ And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

In this reading Jesus tells the apostles to go into the world and preach the Gospel and believers will be saved and anyone that doesn't believe will not be saved referring to going either to heaven or hell. Jesus speaks of signs that will follow them that believe. The signs He speaks of are all done in the Name of Jesus. The ones listed here are casting out devils or demons, speaking in tongues, taking up serpents, drinking any deadly thing will not hurt them and they shall lay hands on the sick and they will recover. These are very significant things that a believer can do but there is much more that a believer can do when they know the Word of God. This power can only come through the Holy Spirit Baptism which comes to any believer that asks for it. In the last verse of the reading  it says that they went and preached everywhere with the Lord working with them confirming the Word with signs following. Jesus was not physically with them but through the Holy Spirit, He worked with and through the apostles and showed great signs and wonders that you can read all about in the Acts of the Apostles in the bible. We are going to explain more in detail about how to apply this verse from Mark 16:18 to healing, where it says, "They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." This is only possible because Jesus died on the cross and rose again providing this healing to everyone as written in the first Letter of Peter 2:24, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." This verse tells you that Jesus not only died for forgiveness of all your sins, but when he died, as written here, by his stripes you were healed even before someone lays hands on you. When someone that truly believes, and is baptized by the Holy Spirit lays their hands on someone sick, healing power is released by the power of the Holy Spirit into that person and they can see healing manifest in their body.  This is supported by the fact that the believer is laying their hands on the sick person and the sick person agreeing with them makes it done as Jesus said in Matthew 18:19, "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." They only have to believe it. This is written in Matthew 17:20, where Jesus said, "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."  This moving of a mountain is referring to anything that is an obstacle to you.  This mustard seed faith is through Faith in Jesus through God's grace which is a free gift from God. This is written in Ephesians 2:8 where it says,"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"  Applying this grace through faith to sickness for healing, you only need to speak to your sickness to get rid of it. When you speak to your mountain which can be sickness of any kind, it can not stand against the Name of Jesus. When you command healing into someone in the Name of Jesus, sickness can no longer stay in the sick person. This is clearly stated in Philippians 2:9, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:" This means that nothing is stronger than the name of Jesus, no sickness, no disease nothing can withstand the name of Jesus. When you use the name of Jesus in faith for any healing, you will see healing happen because it glorifies our Father in Heaven as written in John 14:13, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." Jesus went on to say in the next verse John 14:14, "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."   The only thing stopping you from seeing this awesome healing in your life is doubt. When you doubt, you will not see healing happen in your life. This is written in the Letter of James 1:6, "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." This wavering spoken of here leaves you open for this sickness to stay with you because the doubt leaves an open door to the devil to continue making you believe you are sick when you are not. This is very true when you hear a diagnosis from a doctor. Many people suffer because a doctor told them they have a certain sickness. You think your doctor knows what he is talking about but Jesus is the Almighty Doctor Himself and He already cured all the diseases you could ever name as written in Psalm 103:3, "Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;" This says that all diseases are healed. When it says all diseases are healed, that means any sickness you can name, cancer, leukemia, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, alzheimer's, stroke or any other sickness, Jesus' Name is above all of these named diseases and any other sicknesses you can name so they can not withstand Jesus' Name and must be removed from you.  You can curse these diseases in the name of Jesus and when you do, these diseases or sicknesses have to die and leave your body. You need to understand that doctor's with all their earthly education and degrees do not have the healing power of Jesus unless they are a born again believer. You should always put your faith in Jesus before your doctor because it says so in 1 Corinthians 2:5, "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."   Nothing is more powerful than Jesus! Nothing! Start taking advantage of this God given power and speak to your sickness and command it to be gone in the Name of Jesus and stand on the Word of God for your healing that was already accomplished by Jesus. Don't cry out to God to heal you, command healing in your body. Jesus told us in Matthew 10:8, "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." This was a command from Jesus to heal the sick not to pray for the sick. If your sickness is cancer, speak to the cancer in your body or someone else's saying, cancer, I command you out of my body and curse you in the name of Jesus. If it is a specific body part, speak to that body part and state exactly what you want removed and say in Jesus Name Amen. This is the most powerful thing you can use to fight sickness. There is no medication that can eliminate sickness like the Name of Jesus. Here are some other scriptures that support the fact that Jesus healed you and that God wants you well always.  An Old Testament prophecy confirming that Jesus would die to heal us that parallels 1Peter 2:24 is written by Isaiah 53:5, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." This says again that with his stripes, meaning by Jesus Christ's stripes we are healed." I can personally bear witness that this is true from my own experiences. Not too many years ago, I was taking many medications for terrible gout causing me to have to get shots in my feet roughly 2 weeks apart for many months, I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and any allergy you can imagine. I was overweight and on the whole, feeling like I was about to die. My wife and I had a miraculous encounter with God and with his awesome power, I lost 80 lbs in 3 months, my gout was completely gone and I literally threw all my pills in the trash in the same day trusting that I was already healed by God and He came through in a mighty way for me. I never looked back.  I don't recommend that you throw your pills into the trash but when God truly speaks to you to do something like this, you should trust Him as stated in Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."   At the time this took place in my life, I got confirmation through my doctor that I was completely healed from these diseases. I can tell you that I have not been to a doctor for sickness in almost three years and I have not taken any medication in that 3 years except for a few Advil for multiple bee stings that swelled up on my leg. This swelling in my leg tried to deceive us into thinking that I was getting gout back in my feet. We rejected this in the name of Jesus,  prayed over my leg and foot just like we explain here in this teaching and again saw an awesome healing by Jesus. You need to remember that usually this healing takes some time to see the results. If you are not seeing the result you desire, don't give up because it is God's will for you to be healed so have patience and continue to pray over the sickness or disease. There is a story in the bible about Jesus cursing a fig tree that helps us to understand that there are some prayers that take time to be answered because of how things flow through the spiritual realm into our natural realm. In these bible verses that you can find in Matthew 21:19-20 and also in Mark 11:13-21, Jesus sees a fig tree that is showing signs that it should have fruit on it because it has the leaves on it that grow on the tree when it bears fruit. When Jesus comes upon it He speaks to the fig tree and tells it that no man should eat fruit from it forever. The disciples heard Jesus say this but it wasn't until the next morning that the Apostle Peter saw the tree dried up and said to Jesus in Mark 11:21, "Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away." If you read both of these writings about the fig tree, you will be able to understand that the fig tree died immediately but it was clearly not visible to the disciples at the time Jesus spoke to the tree. We know this by Peter's statement of surprise to Jesus the next morning about the tree being withered. So keep in mind that it can take some time for you to see your prayer answered but take heed to what Jesus told Peter after He sounded surprised about the fig tree which is written in Mark 11:22, "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God."  For you to see this type of healing manifest for you in your life and stay there, you need to stand on the many scriptures that are provided to you in the bible to speak life and healing over you or someone else. One of those verses are Jeremiah 33:6, "Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth." Another one is in The Gospel According to Mark 3:15, "And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:" There are many more scriptures in the bible that support the healing that Jesus provided for us. If you would like more scriptures, please contact us and we will send them to you.
